Ingredients

  • 8 eggs
  • bread roll, 2
  • 300gm sugar 
  • 1 ½  tbsp butter 
  • 1 litre milk 
  • Saffron 
  • 15-20 almonds, slivered 
  • 10-15 white raisins
  • green colour infused milk 
  • saffron infused milk

Instructions

  1. Beat 8 eggs in bowl for 2 to 5 mins.
  2. Add 1 litre milk, pieces of bread, sugar and blend for 5 to 7 mins.Mix well.
  3. Transfer the pudding mixture to a deep vessel and put it on high flame. Bring to boil.
  4. Reduce the temperature to medium and add butter. Stir occasionally until the butter melts. Cover with lid and continue cooking. 
  5. As the pudding starts to set, add slivered almonds, saffron and raisins. Do not stir the mixture and continuing cooking for 20-25 mins on medium low heat.
  6. Turn the flame to low temperture and simmer for 5 mins. Turn off the flame. Let the pudding cool for 30 mins.
  7. Cut the pudding into pics and serve. Best served when cool.

Tips:

Prepare saffron infused milk in a bowl. In a separate bowl prepare green food infused milk. Pour it on the pudding
