Could we tempt you with an appetiser that’s got a perfectly golden brown crust and dunked in a delicious sauce? Here’s a tasty recipe for air fried, crispy panko prawns seasoned with herbs and spices and paired with a simple yet flavourful sauce.

Ingredients

  • 250 g king prawns tails (raw and peeled)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • ⅔ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko
  • salt to taste
  • 1 dash of oil, for cooking (optional)

Instructions

  1. Put the prawns in a bowl and add black pepper powder, sriracha sauce and salt. Mix well until well coated and set aside for 30 mins.
  2. Roll the prawns one by one in first in all purpose flour, then dip it in the beaten egg and then roll them in panko crumbs.
  3. Place the prawns in the air-fryer basket and drizzle with oil.
  4. Cook the prawns at 180°C for 20 mins. Carefully turn the prawns midway.
  5. Serve with a small bowl of your favourite dip or sauce.
