This recipe of baked chicken and cheese croissants combines the goodness of chicken and cheese and fuses them all into a delicious croissants.This delicious savoury recipe is a great addition to any breakfast, lunch, dinner or even snack menu. This simple, cheesy chicken croissants are made with a pinch of herbs and chilli flakes and are the perfect combination of cheesy chicken.Prepare these tasty croissants for your loved ones and surprise them with your amazing baking skills! Ingredients

  • puff pastry sheet
  • 8 slices of chicken salami, cut into halves
  • 200g cheddar or mozzarella or mixed grated cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • chilli flakes
  • mixed herbs

Instructions

  1. Roll the block of puff pastry into a rectangular shape till it’s thin enough to roll in multiple layers. The thinner the pastry the better the layers.
  2. Slice into 8 triangles of roughly equal sizes.
  3. Stretch the triangle edges to further elongate the pastry and place 2 halves of the chicken salami at the base of the triangle with cheese in the middle.
  4. Apply egg wash to the edges to seal the pastry and gently roll it from the base to the narrow side, making a small croissant. Repeat the same for the remaining slices.
  5. Brush the croissants with egg wash and sprinkle with some mixed herbs.
  6. Place the croissants in the middle tray of a 200 C oven for 20-25 minutes or until they’re nicely risen and golden brown.
  7. Once baked, sprinkle with chilli flakes and serve them hot with a dip of your choice!

Tips:

Cheddar cheese would give you an extra savoury flavour, mozzarella is good for added goodness in the centre.
